The incident took place in Fairfield around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 on Stillson Road at the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike.
According to Fairfield Police Lt. Michael Paris, a police officer came upon two men engaged in a fight on Stillson Road.
The officer was able to successfully detain one man who was identified as the primary aggressor and armed with a razor blade-style knife, Paris said.
The second man was treated by responding officers until medical personnel could arrive.
Paris said the suspect, identified as Azael Morales-Osorio, age 24, of Bridgeport, was arrested and charged with breach of peace and assault.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
The other man was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with stab wounds to the abdomen and extremities and is listed in stable condition, Paris said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the fight began in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo at 2115 Black Rock Turnpike and led to the roadway where Morales-Osorio brandished the razor blade striking the other man several times.
